![]() I’m super confused on the foods I can eat… I realize sugar is the enemy here but what about other major things to avoid? I live my two eggs over toast for breakfast… does that gotta go?Īny advice you can offer would be amazing? is there a good place to get a good quick education on living with diabetes? I realize there is a lot of info (hence why I’m overwhelmed ) but where do I start? Is there like a support group or something? I also don’t understand what any of the readouts mean. something I can click all my intake in and give me a readout on recommended carbs left etc… I live in calgary Alberta Canada if this makes a difference. I also am looking for the best food logger etc. ![]() So how do I answer the question about therapy type? I’m thinking “no insulin” is my answer… the other question I have is targets… do I just go with the app or is there targets based on my age and height etc. I feel overwhelmed… I don’t know where to begin… downloaded an app (as recommended here somewhere) called mySugr but don’t understand what I’m doing… first question I have is when the app asks about insulin I say I’m not taking it as from my understanding ozempic is not considered insulin but rather helps my body create insulin. Obviously the first thing I did/am doing is googling all the info but there is sooooo much. I’m now two days into my first shot of ozempic and I think I’m feeling ok… I just feel lost. What’s the Cadillac of meters that work best with iPhone? I wanted something that connects to my iPhone… I’m a data guy and a tech nerd so I like the idea of extrapolating data … I ordered a glucose meter anyways but have to wait until tomorrow for the pharmacy to get it. ![]() My dr prescribed ozempic as, in his words, he feels this will have the most success… it was weird though that he told me I wouldn’t have to monitor my blood sugar etc. Sent me for more blood tests and turns out I have developed type 2 diabetes… first off… honestly… I’m kinda scared. Have been feeling dehydrated lately etc and went to dr.
